Root of Motivation

An educational game that teaches you how to boost motivation through conversational techniques.

How do you motivate an employee? This is one of the most frequently asked questions from managers. Some employees are driven by rewards while others are focused on promotion. There are those for whom a stable and orderly situation is motivating, while some prefer variety and risk. The key is to appreciate that each employee is different and find specific ways of motivating him or her!

Root of Motivation is based on the universal principle that each of us needs our own incentive and source of motivation. This might be found in being part of an inspiring team, gaining new skills, or participating in a new and exciting project. But there’s no need to guess! Build a motivational profile for your employee, find convincing arguments to motivate them, and check the result of your conversation. Through the game you will learn how to listen and diagnose your employees in order to become an inspirational manager.

  • a set of 30 cards describing the Employee (10 cards describing his aspirations, 10 cards describing his needs, 10 cards describing the rewards he likes to receive);
  • a set of 10 cards describing the situation (context of conversations between the Manager and the Employee);
    tokens, which are used to evaluate the conversation;
  • cube with pictograms;
  • set of 30 cards describing motivators.
